The enzyme diamine oxidase (DAO) degrades amines such as spermidine, putrescine and histamin. Therefore, DAO plays a central role in physiology: a lack of DAO can trigger histamin intolerance with concentration dependent histaminergic symptoms. These include allergic diseases such as rhinitis and asthma. We now offer exclusively polyclonal antibodies for research of the molecular mechanisms involved in development and manifestation of histamin intolerance.
