Omicron variant

The standard screening PCR of Immundiagnostik MutaPLEX® Coronavirus (KG192696) covers all previously described mutations, including the newly discovered omicron variant.

Subsequent mutation analysis can be performed with MutaPLEX® CoV-2 MUT 3 (KG193396) or MutaPLEX® CoV-2 MUT 2 (KG193296). In addition to the currently dominant delta variant, it is also possible to detect completely new highly variable VoCs (variations of concern), such as the current subtype omicron from South Africa.
